The Highlands Center for Natural History partners with variety of local organizations to offer exciting education opportunities to the Quad cities area. Some of our key partners are listed below:
Prescott National Forest — The Center operates under a Special Use Permit from Prescott National Forest. This innovative partnership provides the Center with 80 diverse acres for our campus while the Center offers quality educational and interpretative programming to visitors of the Forest. We collaborate with the Forest service staff to provide content for educational programs and during our annual “Take Hike” Hiking Spree. Discussions continue about deepening the relationship and offering more services to Forest visitors.
Prescott Audubon Society — Offers a monthly bird walk on site and co-sponsors our annual spring Birding Spree.

Prescott Astronomy Club — Offer seasonal Star Parties which include lectures and sky-viewing with provided telescopes.
Folk Sessions — Conducts an annual summer concert series in the outdoor Kiwanis Amphitheater.

Yavapai County Cooperative Extension Master Gardener Program — Provides expert advice for our bi annual “Grow Native” Plant Sale.
Jazz Summit - Conducts an annual summer jazz concert series in the outdoor Kiwanis Amphitheater.
Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary - A non-profit wildlife sanctuary, dedicated to the conservation and protection of native and exotic animals. Partner during our James Family Match and Joint Membership Drive.
